Teaching
I am an enthusiastic lecturer with wide experience of undergraduate teaching at all levels. For many years I taught a popular level three combinatorics module. Other courses I have taught in Sheffield include:
Analysis
Vector spaces and Fourier theory
Groups and symmetries
Algebraic topology
Other lecturing experience includes courses on metric spaces and measure and integration.
I very much enjoy supervising project work. Level four MMath project topics I have supervised include:
Aperiodic tilings
Combinatorics of the symmetric group
Discrete geometry
Integer valued polynomials
Integer partitions
The Dold-Kan correspondence
In 2022–23, I taught the year-long second year MAS221 Analysis module and MAS334 Combinatorics. I am on Study Leave in Semester 1 of 2023-24, so not currently lecturing any modules.
